Three Facts About Clara Woods

Hi Guys!

Here are three facts that you need to know about Clara and her art!

1) In the beginning, Clara used to destroy her art. Or she would cover it black, or she would literally destroy it. It took months for her to accept her art and start showing it to us. She started painting with a very nice teacher named Astrid, who was patient and understood Clara in a deep way, which we cannot explain. This is one of the first artworks we have from Clara, and it is hanging in our house because she gave it as a gift for my parents (Clara's grandparents). It is called Rainbow Dool.

2) Clara did more than ten portraits of Frida Kahlo during her artistic life. They are so different from each other. And if you look at Clara's self-portraits, most of them show her wearing Frida Kahlo's eyebrows. I think this is super cool and gave an identity between Clara and Frida, a kind of signature and legacy! You can see in the first picture that Clara is using the famous Frida Kahlo book I gave her, the one that started everything!

3) The first artwork we sold through Instagram had to have an agreement between Clara and Davi. It was 2018, and we were still learning everything about art, and Clara painted in a wood two different artworks, one in each side. Then she gave one of the artworks to Davi.
Someone saw the other artwork and asked to buy it. We were all excited because it was mostly our first sale through social media. Clara was 12. Davi was 6. Clara convinced Davi to give the artwork, and she would give him half the money. He bought a Lego with it.
This artwork is still one of my favorites!

  • I just want to say I’m an old country boy lives in the woods never thought much of art any which Way but there’s something about the love she puts in to her pieces it touches my heart. When I see her work I see the happiness in it and I’ve got to say sometimes it moistens the eyes. Like I said I’m just a backwoods country fella bring up much of a rough type of guy and never thought twice about art but this is beautiful stuff and I just want to let you know this so she realizes did she’s touching many different walks of life with her work.

  • Traveling mercies for both of you. And yes, parking places. Perhaps you could check with the American Consul in Italy and ask whether you could have a temporary disabled sticker for your vehicle. I would hope that parking for people with disabilities is something that’s done in Italy. Local police where you are going could also help.
