When people start defining your life because it is easier for them to look the other way, you understand that the only way forward is to think out of the box. To create your own reality and build the future. Clara is turning twenty now and when I look back I feel we did a pretty good job doing exactly that. We did not follow the limits others imagined for her. We built the life we dreamed about. This artwork is a reminder of that. When you hang it on your wall, it will remind you that sometimes the life you dream about starts when you step out of your comfort zone and begin thinking out of the box.
Twenties Collection celebrates Clara turning twenty! I still cannot believe she is already 20! Pinch me! It feels like yesterday she was a little girl painting just for fun.
Twenties is about love, hope, resilience, and courage. It is about being yourself and choosing to be happy, no matter what. Clara has this special way of looking at life with pure eyes, finding beauty everywhere and facing adversity of an extra load of courage!

Hi, I’m Clara.
Sometimes people tell me I shouldn’t dream so big. That because I can’t speak, read, or write, I should “stay quiet.” But I don’t want to stay quiet. I want to paint louder.
I had a stroke while I was still in my mom’s womb. The doctors told her my life would be a nightmare. But here I am — building my future.
Even though I can’t speak, read, or write, I understand three languages — English, Portuguese, and Italian. I guess my brain found its own way to communicate, just not the one doctors expected.
I’m writing this with the help of my mom (my business partner, my best friend, and my biggest cheerleader) and ChatGPT — and reading it with my text-to-speech app.
Painting became my language. It’s how I share everything I can’t say with words — my love, my anger, my hope, and my joy. Because even if my voice sounds different, I want you to hear me.
