This collection started in one of our Saturday morning painting sessions. Clara was painting hearts and mixing them with abstract shapes and colors. After four pieces, we stopped and looked at it. And we said: These are shining light.

LIGHT has everything to do with the moment we are living right now: shining in other people's lives, but also needing light to keep going, to not give up, to hold up in the difficult moments.

Today was a rollercoaster day. It started with Clara going to the gym and having a big meltdown, so she needed light. A lot of people we didn't know (we are in Calgary now) came to comfort her and offer help.

Then we got the email review from Cecilia. She brought home one of Clara's paintings, Happy Flower, and this is what she told us: "It is such a beautiful piece of art that brightens up the house so much. I absolutely love it, and I smile every time I look at it."

That is Clara and us being light in this world.

This is what this collection is about, and we hope one of these artworks becomes your light, too, on the good days and on the hard ones.

While archiving and photographing every single piece in this collection, I fell in love with each one. Help!!! Then I called Clara, who was coming back from the gym: "I think we should not sell these. They are too cool, I love them! We can hang here in the new studio." And Clara: "Nope. I made these for my people. They are for them." What?!?! That is not fair! The queen decided, and now I can't wait to see on whose walls the paintings will hang!  Most of these little flowers are loaded with so much acrylic paint that they jump off the canvas. You can touch, feel, and interact with them. So, is one of them going to your wall?

Clara wanted to paint something about summer. Something happy, full of color. When the idea of fruits came up, I thought, oh, this one will be hard for her. Fruits have shapes, seeds, little details, so many colors in one small piece.

But hey, look what she did!

Clara did her research. She studied other artists, their colors, their techniques. She took her time. And then she painted strawberries, blueberries, watermelon, avocados, cherries, figs, lemon, oranges and grapes. Nine little fruits, all full of summer.

They are so cute, I could look at them for hours. And Clara is so happy and so proud of this collection. Me too!

We couldn't leave Italy without dropping this collection: Little Ice Creams.

Clara had this idea some weeks before coming, and she was super excited to create it. She used so many colors and the deal was to create the whole collection in exchange of lots of ice cream in Italy.

So enjoy and choose your favorite to hang on your wall, and remember that sometimes you can see life through Clara's eyes, and one ice cream is all you need to make everything feel a little sweeter.
