The weeks after we came back from Italy were super hard. A bit of tiredness, a bit of frustration, and a lot of anxiety about Clara's future and about how some things move so much slower than we want them to.

And then I started working on this collection.

If you have been here for a while, you know I love rainbows. They always speak to me. And working on these paintings, one by one, it was like finding a little hope again in each one of them.

Because after every storm, there is a rainbow, right?

So enjoy this collection. And be fast, these will not last long. Go hang one on your wall and let it bring you a little hope too.

Moments is what happens when Clara is in the studio, waiting for a painting to dry, or just catching her breath between one thing and the next. Instead of stopping, she picks up a brush and paints something just for herself. A flower, a face, a heart, a splash of color... Just Clara and whatever was going on inside her at that moment. That's what you get with each one of these little pieces: a moment of hers, saved on a little canvas, ready to live on your wall, bringing lots of joy to your life!

Clara did not have an easy childhood. She took her first steps only at three years old. School was hard, high school was hard, and there were many moments that asked more from her than most kids ever have to give. Once Upon is the collection where she went back to all of that.

You will notice something different here. There is black in almost every piece, which is not something Clara usually does. That black is the hard parts, the struggles, the moments that were heavy. But the colors are so much bigger, so much louder, they take over everything. That is the whole point.

There is one memory in this collection that is very close to Clara's heart. She was worried about her little brother Davi, worried that he would not be able to speak, the same way she cannot. Then she had an encounter with angels, and they told her not to worry. Davi would speak. And he did.

Once Upon is Clara looking back at the little girl she was and saying, I see you, I see everything you went through, and look at us now. Hang one of these on your wall and let it talk to you every day, because that is what Clara's art does. It reminds you that the hard parts are not the whole story and reminds you that you are going to be okay.

Clara created this little originals collection before packing our bags to Italy. You know that feeling when you're about to go back home? Something starts moving inside you before you even leave. Old memories. Stories your nonno used to tell get louder in your head. You remember smells, voices, the way light looked.

Being far from your roots is not easy. You grow, you build, you create somewhere else, but there is always a string pulling you back.

Watching Clara counting the days to this trip… her happiness is overwhleming, in the best way. Her heart is so pure! It’s so nice to see, and I’m learning so much from her. And this collection is about this feeling. About being happy, thankful, and noticing the beauty that is all around. Life is full of it. We just need to see.
