The Inclusion Matters Podcast - From A Prison Cell To Inspiration
Hi Guys,
Something really special happened this week—and I had to tell you about it.
We just released the second episode of The Inclusion Matters Podcast, and it’s one that’s left a big mark on my heart.
Our guest is Carlos Vasquez.
Carlos doesn’t just talk about change—he lives it. He went from being locked up in prison to becoming a CEO.
But it’s not just about the job title. It’s about the way he fought his way out—not just from his cell, but from the pain, the trauma, the guilt. He tells the truth, even when it’s hard. And he teaches others how to do the same.
Listening to him felt like sitting across from someone who’s seen the darkest places… and still found the light. It’s powerful, it's real, and I think you'll feel something too.
Behind the scenes with Clara and Adin
Clara and Adin are getting better and better at this podcast dance. Adin is a natural. He shares, he listens, and he helps keep things flowing is learning how to use the tablet and follow the conversation at the same time.
There’s one funny thing—every time we start recording, she yawns. Not because she’s bored! We think it might be a little tic she gets when she’s concentrating really hard. Have any tips? We’d love to hear them.
Learning as we go (and holding our breath sometimes)
Behind the scenes, I’ve been juggling a lot.Learning how to share the podcast, how to get it on Google, how RSS feeds even work (still don’t fully get it!). It’s all a bit stressful in the moment, but later we breathe and say, “Okay, next time we’ll know what to do.”
Right now, Clara Woods Collection is funding all of this. We’re doing it because we believe in it. But if you want to help keep it going, buying something from our store would mean so much.
We’re still learning as we go.
Still making mistakes.
Still showing up.
And that’s what I love most about this little podcast—it’s not perfect. But it’s real.
Thanks for being here,Betina
