Clara Collectors Series #1 - Alesia S.

It was a Friday, early May. I was sitting in front of my computer, trying to figure out what was going wrong with our ads and online sales for Clara Woods Collection. I’d been at it for hours and was feeling tired.

And then… the Shopify ding.
That sound. Brings a big smile. I looked at my phone and saw it was for an original artwork. Look what I wrote in our Whatsapp Sales Thread:

I always try to guess which one it is before opening the order.
I couldn’t figure it out this time. 

When I finally opened it, I saw it:
Brazilian Heart.

And then I read this message from Alesia:

“I’m obsessed with your art! I first saw one of your pieces at my friend, Laura's house and decided then that I needed your art in my home. I’m so inspired by your story and your ability to capture feelings so beautifully. I can’t wait to get my first Clara Woods piece! Xo, Alesia”

Made me emotional.

I forwarded it right away to Clara. We have a WhatsApp thread just for the messages she gets so she can “read” them on her phone.

It is one of my ways to make Clara embrace her mission and understand the role she plays in other people's lives.

A little story behind Brazilian Heart

Clara painted this one while listening to Brazilian music, smiling, dancing a bit in her seat.
She said she wanted to paint what Brazil feels like to her—joy, sunshine, rhythm, hugs, and warmth.

In Brazil, people don’t see her disability first. They see her smile. That stays with her. And with me.

She painted this piece during the time of her first collab with the Brazilian fashion brand Almacor—which for us was huge. A dream moment inside another dream.

Now, Brazilian Heart lives in Alesia’s home.
She even made a video showing us where it hangs, and it looks beautiful.
