Everyday tasks that take us seconds can take Clara minutes or hours. Getting dressed, walking, communicating. Clara uses so much more energy than the rest of us just to do simple things. But what makes Clara different is that she sees beauty everywhere, even in the hard stuff. When life gives you lemons, she makes the sweetest lemonade.

"Beauty" is exactly that feeling. All those splatters, the bright turquoise, the pops of pink and purple. Joy despite everything. It's choosing to see the good stuff even when things are complicated.

I think about the day Clara met Alicia Keys and gave her the portrait she painted. Clara wasn't walking because she'd just had surgery. Nothing was organized the way she expected. She was so anxious, and we were all worried she might have seizures because of the lights. But Clara kept going. She cried, ate ice cream, got worried, had fun, got worried again, had more fun, cried again... and then late that night, it happened. Beauty.

It's finding the beautiful moments in the messy, complicated, exhausting days. It's Clara reminding us that joy is always there if we look for it.

The artworks have a layer of UV acrylic translucent paint. You can wipe off dust with a humid toil.

Hi, I’m Clara.

Sometimes people tell me I shouldn’t dream so big. That because I can’t speak, read, or write, I should “stay quiet.” But I don’t want to stay quiet. I want to paint louder.

I had a stroke while I was still in my mom’s womb. The doctors told her my life would be a nightmare. But here I am — building my future.

Even though I can’t speak, read, or write, I understand three languages — English, Portuguese, and Italian. I guess my brain found its own way to communicate, just not the one doctors expected.

I’m writing this with the help of my mom (my business partner, my best friend, and my biggest cheerleader) and ChatGPT — and reading it with my text-to-speech app.

Painting became my language. It’s how I share everything I can’t say with words — my love, my anger, my hope, and my joy. Because even if my voice sounds different, I want you to hear me.

  • I’m Clara Woods—an artist, entrepreneur, and game-changer on a mission to inspire. I was born a a stroke in my mom’s womb, which left me unable to speak, read, or write. But that hasn’t stopped me! I understand three languages and found my voice through art.     When I was just 12, I held my first exhibition in Florence, Italy. My mom even sold her own successful company to focus on my career, and our bond is at the heart of everything we’ve achieved.

I was honored to be named an Internet Gamechanger by Forbes and Facebook for the positive impact I’ve made on inclusion and creativity.

Clara is speaking louder than ever in this new collection, and wow, do we hear her.

Unmuted is full of surprises. You'll see tiny, careful drawings where Clara used hundreds of little shapes to build something bigger—like a giraffe with a rainbow tale she saw at the zoo, or Chocolate, her guinea pig who she loved so much, or a friend's dog. You'll find these mix, big paintings, small artworks, some bright colors and glitter cnstrating with  pieces are soft and gentle with pastels. 

The animals in these works are special. Animals don't use words either, but they communicate everything—through how they move, how they look at you, how they just are. Clara gets that. She sees herself in them. And when she paints them, she's painting her own voice too.

What we love most about this collection is the freedom in it. Clara is experimenting, taking risks, making art that's mirror her. Small pieces, medium ones, huge canvases that are 48x60 inches—each one is Clara saying something that we still need to look, star at it, handle our emotions and be ready for a wave of beauty.
