Clara’s iconic sun. The one she loves to paint. It is always there in her work, like it is part of her language. For me, it is the way she enters a room and changes the mood, even on days when she is tired or in pain. She has this strange gift of warming people without saying a word. This sun is loud, bright! It goes straight to your heart and does not ask if it can stay.

The Thank You Collection: Clara and I entered the studio last week, and she came out with this collection. We worked all day to make it happen before 2026 ended and to bring these originals to you! At the end of the day, I almost called the ambulance, because my knee and shoulder were exhausted, but we did it! It was Clara's last painting session of 2025, and we had lots of fun, also buying some new colors before starting! Music on, paint everywhere, both of us tired but happy.
While taking the photos, I’ve been staring at these six little canvases on the wall and thinking about how incredible this whole journey has been for our family. Some days, I still cannot believe that people we have never met take time to comment, share, write messages, and send gifts. People who buy in our shop! Many times, a message is what keeps us going on the hardest days.
This collection is called Thank You because without you, we would not be here!

Hi, I’m Clara.
Sometimes people tell me I shouldn’t dream so big. That's because I can’t speak, read, or write, I should “stay quiet.” But I don’t want to stay quiet. I want to paint louder.
I had a stroke while I was still in my mom’s womb. The doctors told her my life would be a nightmare. But here I am — building my future.
Even though I can’t speak, read, or write, I understand three languages — English, Portuguese, and Italian. I guess my brain found its own way to communicate, just not the one doctors expected.
I’m writing this with the help of my mom (my business partner, my best friend, and my biggest cheerleader) and ChatGPT — and reading it with my text-to-speech app.
Painting became my language. It’s how I share everything I can’t say with words — my love, my anger, my hope, and my joy. Because even if my voice sounds different, I want you to hear me.

I’m Clara Woods—an artist, entrepreneur, and game-changer on a mission to inspire. I was born a a stroke in my mom’s womb, which left me unable to speak, read, or write. But that hasn’t stopped me! When I was just 12, I held my first exhibition in Florence, Italy. My mom, Betina, believed in my dream, and together we built Clara Woods Collection, turning my passion for art into a thriving business. My mom even sold her own successful company to focus on my career, and our bond is at the heart of everything we’ve achieved.
