Her smiles, her laughs, her happiness, even during some of the hardest moments of her life. And now I just want to cry!

I keep thinking about everything she has been through and how, somehow, she always finds a reason to be happy. That little girl has taught me more about life than I could ever teach her.

I just remembered something from when she was recovering from that big surgery in 2023. She couldn't walk for months, and at some point, she started moving around the house on her knees. Can you imagine? After everything she had been through, there she was, going around the house on her knees, smiling, finding ways to do what she wanted to do. And she was HAPPY!

Of course, she had difficult days. She cried, she got frustrated, and it was not easy for any of us. But she never stopped believing that things would get better.

And that's what HAPPY means to me. Not that everything is perfect, or that you need to smile all the time. But that even when life gets really hard, you can still find little reasons to be happy and believe that better days are coming.

I hope you hang HAPPY on your wall and, every time you look at it, remember that happiness doesn't have to wait until everything in your life is okay.

Sometimes, you can find it right in the middle of the mess. Just like Clara did.

Acrylic on canvas.
