So my mom, my beloved dad and I went to McDonald’s for a meal. My dad wanted to make it special and somehow got a Ronald McDonald candle to put on my ice cream. I never forgot that birthday.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYears later, one of my first dates with Carlo was also at McDonald’s. Funny part? He was vegetarian and hated fast food! But he liked me, so he came anyway.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd of course, I passed my Mequi love to my kids. A Big Mac, fries and time together became part of our family memories too. Even on our girls’ dates, sometimes Clara is the one asking for Mequi.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSo when we were invited to Hack for Accessibility at McDonald’s headquarters in Chicago, it felt like one of those crazy full-circle moments.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFrom celebrating my 18th birthday there because it was all we could afford, to walking into their headquarters with my daughter as speakers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eClara knows all these stories.
